See transmitter module datasheet at 1st pdf link below. We opened a sample module HLD 7205-W01-AS-1, found there is Ortel laser 1750A-C03, as shown at last photo. See laser datasheet at last two pdf links below (Lucent/Agere purchased Ortel before, and add prefix “A” to P/N). Since the transmitter output is 8dBm, so the laser is either 6mW or 8mW version. With one SC/APC adapter.
We can remove laser from the transmitter module by desoldering machine with low-melting point solder, at extra $40 for the desoldering, testing, and packing work).
Available P/N, wavelengths: HLD 7205-W01-AS-1, 1549.32; HLD 7205-W02-AS-1, 1550.92, HLD 7205-W04-AS-1, 1554.13; HLD 7205-W05-AS-1, 1555.75; HLD 7205-W06-AS-1, 1557.36; HLD 7205-W07-AS-1, 1558.98; HLD 7205-W08-AS-1, 1560.61.
General description:
Harmonic’s METROLink HLD 7205 is a family of high performance DFB laser transmitter modules designed for return path narrowcasting applications. The DFB laser’s wavelength is stabilized and aligned to one of eight wavelengths on the ITU grid with 200 GHz (1.6 nm) spacing. By using Dense Wavelength Division Multiplxing (DWDM), multiple return path signals can be carried on a single fiber. The HLD 7205 transmitters can operate alone or in combination with Harmonic’s METROLink family of gain flattened optical amplifiers, and DWDMmultiplexers and demultiplexers for complete system solutions.
