It uses standard Corning SMF-28e fiber which is newer version of SMF-28, better than and compatible with SMF-28. We cut many samples, and use them to easily fusion-splice with Corning SMF-28, LEAF fiber, Lucent/OFS Truewave fiber, splice loss is very low.

We have tested 20pc of FC/PC version jumpers: JDS P/N: J-FPFP-A-002-JT, J-FPFP-A-003-JT, J-FPFP-A-004-JT, J-FPFP-A-005-JT (same model except different length) jumpers at 1.55um wavelength at our lab. Average loss <0.08dB, and typical insertion loss is <0.1dB.

We have tested 20pc of FC/PC version jumpers: JDS P/N: J-FPFP-A-002-JT, J-FPFP-A-003-JT, J-FPFP-A-004-JT, J-FPFP-A-005-JT (same model except different length) jumpers at 1.55um wavelength at our lab. RL of J-FPFP-A samples are verified <-50dB, typically around 55dB approximately. Average loss <0.08dB, and typical insertion loss is <0.1dB. -
