Corning fiber amplifier demonstrator based on Corning fiber gain module (EDFA module). It includes two ILX instruments: 200mA laser precision current source LDX-3412C and 2A, 4W, 0.01C temperature controller LDT-5412, so you can easily replace with different EDFA module. FC/APC fiber interface. >14dBm saturated output over C-band at 4dBm input. If increasing input power to 8dBm, the out put power will only increase slightly and still less than 15dBm. See test result by OSA and tunable laser with 4dBm input, at 1525, 1532, 1540, 1550, 1560, 1570nm respectively. The laser precision current source is at constant current 175mA (constant power mode is available, but we did not try it). Output result looks quite flat over C-band.

The ILX Lightwave LDT-5910 The LDT-5910 is a microprocessor-based, precision thermoelectric temperature controller designed for temperature control of laser diodes, detectors and other temperature sensitive devices. The LDT-5910 can be used for laser diode testing, laser diode frequency stabilization, IR detector cooling, and to determine the characteristics of electronic devices.
The LDT-5910 combines high analog stability with the versatility of a microprocessor-based instrument. The internal microprocessor controls the operation of the LDT-5910 and performs the non-linear conversion of thermistor resistance to temperature based on three user-defined constants. You can configure the LDT-5910 to operate with a wide variety of thermistor temperature sensors and TE modules. The model 1227 GPIB/IEEE-488 interface allows remote programming and completely automated control of the LDT-5910.
