This smart coupler includes optical circulator, optical switch, and optical tap power monitor. When you choose “Passive” at front panel (see 3rd photo below), you can use optical circulator passively and use optical switch manually.
With 3 SC/PC adapters at front panel.
The SmartCoupler system optical links into a single fiber bi-direcr"ional link. The existing links may be 1310nm or 15.50nm. Any transmission rate is supported. SmartCoupler (OC) systems automatically verify acceptable backreflection levels and provide protection against ' silent loopback' failures.
