General description
The JDS Uniphase ERM 568 JMx is a high speed optical receiver in a small form factor package with differential outputs. It is designed to meet the requirements of short reach and intermediate reach SONET transponders. The receiver may also be used in the client side of optical systems, such as optical add/drop multiplexers. The very small form factor receiver saves valuable board  space in compact next generation transponders for SONET applications. The receiver's high transimpedence gain eliminates the need for a post amplifier, affording significant cost and space savings. The ERM 568 JMx provides high sensitivity, enabling its use even in highly attenuated SONET systems.
