Both internal end and external end connectors of fiber spool are accessible, so you can use it for optical transmission test. With FC/APC fiber connector in 3mm or 2mm cable at two ends. Connectors are top quality brand: Seikoh Giken made for JDS.

See year 2002 datasheet in 1st pdf link and year 2000 datasheet in 2nd pdf link below. Product label shows the fiber is in old atten specification, <0.3dB/km at 1550nm rather than popular specification 0.2dB/km. We tested actual attenuation is 0.278dB/km at 1550nm.
