980nm/1480nm Manual Variable attenuator, with 2 FC/APC connectors. JDS VA4 series.

For both 980nm and 1480nm. Manual tuning. JDS Fitel P/N: VA4501-019. With SMF-28 fiber pigtail, fusion spliced with FC/APC connectors. With internal battery. Datasheet in htm link came from JDS 2005 instrument catalog. 9V regular battery is included inside instrument.

CONDITION:

Good cosmetic condition. LCD display is very clear.

Variable attenuator is verified working very well at our lab.

At 1480nm, we tested insertion loss (including one-connector loss) with HP 81525A optical head:
Set 0.1dB, IL=3.143dB. (This is minimum loss)
Set 5dB, IL=8.407dB.
Set 10dB, IL=12.839dB.
Set 20dB, IL=22.939dB.
Set 30dB, IL=32.764dB
Set 40dB, IL=42.677dB.
Set 50dB, IL=52.38dB (accuracy is limited by optical head).

Max set is 66.4dB at 1480nm, 51.5dB at 980nm.
