See manufacture test data at the 2nd photo and also at the last pdf link below. We tested Er-doped fiber length by OTDR at 1310nm. See measured EDF length value at last photo below, which may be slightly over-estimated, since Neff (effective group index of refraction) 1.4682 in OTDR instrument may be slightly under-estimated. (To make OTDR test easy on this special fiber, we fusion-spliced with short length of stand SM fiber with FC/PC connector at one spool end, and cleaved fiber at the other spool end.)
