S46999-M9-A8 Fiber Cleaver is used to cleave all common single- and multimode glass fibers plus special fiber types (LS, DS and NZDS fibers such as TrueWave™ and LEAF™) with a cladding diameter of 125µm.See pdf datasheet in 1st and 3rd (page 2) pdf links below. We love this kind of cleaver, one-step procedure is much easier to use than traditional 3-step cleavers of other makers (sumitomo, Ericsson, Fujitsu, etc.).

    used, the gap angle is most likely >1 degree when fusion splice after fiber is cut with this cleaver, so it doesn't meet fusion splice requirement (<1 degree) unless you could change blade. But it may be OK for mechanical splice or research.
