Pin 6 (TEC+) is missing, so you cannot do temperature control. Pin 13 (laser common +), Pin 14 (NC) are missing. You can use Pin 11 (laser common +) instead of Pin 13. You can still use lasing for some of your research, you need apply enough heatsink in your test.


Pf=10mW-average (20mW peak). For analog DWDM signal. All lasers are with SC/APC connectors. 900um-buffered SMF. Leads are wide type. See more info at pdf datasheet link below.

The 1751 laser module is a Dense Wavelength-Division Multiplexing (DWDM) laser for analog applications. It features a distributed feedback chip that has been designed specifically for Radio Frequency (RF) applications. The 1751 laser module has a wide temperature range for reliable performance in harsh node environments and narrow transmitter designs. It also features low adiabatic chirp to maximize signal quality in short and long lengths of fiber. The laser’s excellent inherent linearity minimizes degradation of the broadcast signals caused by quadrature amplitude modulated (QAM) channels. The versatile 1751 laser module reduces cable network architecture fiber needs and lessens equipment requirements in the hub.

    CONDITION:

    Pin 6 (TEC+) is missing, so you cannot do temperature control. Pin 13 (laser common +), Pin 14 (NC) are missing. You can use Pin 11 (laser common +) instead of Pin 13. You can still use lasing for some of your research, you need apply enough heatsink in your test. Used and desoldered in original product pack, leads look good, see last photo below. With actual test sheet(there are also two-sample test data at the last two pdf links belw). Two samples are tested good, test data of our lab test is shown at 3rd and 4th photos below. We tested lasing on two sample lasers without applying TEC, since wide leads do not fit our Newport laser mount.
