The Corlink splice is an easy-to-use, high performance mechanical splice for 125 um cladding singlemode and multimode fibers. Its unique clamping mechanism is activated with a simple key, no other tooling is required. The transparent material allows the crafts person to both see and feel the fiber position. The 1st pdf datasheet indicates that Corelink splice for single-mode fiber is clear (splice for multimode fiber is blue color). Our splice is clear (see photo below), so it is for single-mode fiber. Furthermore, I was told "for sure that they were bought for SMF". Since multi-mode fiber has same 125um-cladding, 250um-coating, and applicable 900um buffer as single-mode fiber, and much larger fiber core size, so splice for single-mode fiber can also work for multi-mode fiber (technically even better).
