DCM for narrow band WDM in 1530-1610nm C-band and L-band. There is no dispersion slope compensation, so it is not recommended for wide band DWDM transmission. For 20km standard SMF compensation. Dispersion: about -340 ps/nm. With two SC/PC connectors. Made in March 1999. See general technical info in 1st pdf link below. Fiber length is tested as 3.495km by OTDR approximately at our lab, assuming effective refractive index is same as SMF-28 (1.4682 at 1.55um). As request for an customer, we openned a sample enclosure, see last three photo below. There are only about 7 vertical narrow soft glue lines over the fiber coil surface(see last two photos below), so we believe you can remove the glue, though you still have to be careful not to break the fiber. The same glue is also applied over the 900um-buffered fiber and the fusion splice shrink sleeve, as shown at the 5th photo. The glue is very soft, so it should be easy to remove.
