This EDFA module includes two Oclaro 974nm pump lasers (one is >310mW kink-free power P/N: LC95BA74-20A, another is >380mW kink-free power LC95JA74-20A). We do not have exact pdf specification for them. These two model numbers were changed from Bookham LC95B74-20A and LC95J74-20A (see 2nd pdf link below) after Bookham changed name as Oclaro by inserting “A” in P/N, and recently Oclaro changed these two models to LC95BH74-20A and LC95JH74-20A by inserting “H” in P/N(see 3rd pdf link below). Basically they keep same kink-free power specification as before. The actual kink-free output power would be much larger than specification in most cases. As thumb of rule for Oclaro 974nm pump lasers, you may drive at operating power = kink free power / 1.1, as long as the drive current is not higher than max allowed current in specification (If your lifetime/reliability requirement is very high, then you’d better to make your own qualification research to verify if this rule is suitable for you).

This EDFA module also includes one 1x1 MEMS attenuator JDS P/N: MATW1ODA033EC-001 (Normally- Open type, see specification at http://www.lightwavestore.com/files/attachments/product_datasheet/OFC-EVOA-011_pdf1.pdf ), at least 2 GFF devices, 5 isolators, WDMs, 6 photodiodes.  Many valuable parts for your research.

This EDFA module includes at least 2 GFF devices, 5 isolators, and 2 high power pump lasers. Normally one high power pump laser is enough to support  17dBm EDFA output,  so we believe this module is 2-stage EDFA with Mid-Stage-Access. There are eight 900um fibers, 6 of them come with E2000/APC connectors, 6 connectors labeled with "S10", "S11", "TA", "TD", "S20", "S21". Two of these 6 connectors or two bare fibers without connectors may be for Mid-Stage-Access. There is 50-pin electrical connector on the module. Manufacture test data (see last 3 pdf links below) show that it offers flattened 22dB gain at -5dBm input power, so it gives 17dBm output power. See year-2005 specification at the first pdf link below. We do not have other technical info and we do not have software codes/manual, you need figure out how to use it by yourself.
