Manufacturer have changed to cloth with thicker-thread, see what it looks like after installed in cleaner box in last photo below. They state:
1. Our cloth thread is clean, it won't effect the fiber connector endface;
2. In order to increase the friction force, we change to thicker thread. Even if we still use the thin thread, we also need to use more power to clean the endface, it's more convenience to use the cleaner box after we used the thick thread, the inexperience people also can clean endface very easily.
We have tried sample to clean our fiber connectors without problem at our lab. They are more suitable for much dirty connectors especially for inexperienced users.
