See specification at 1st pdf link below. There is wavelength monitor function. With FC/PC fiber connector. 

Pinout is not standard type-2. Only difference is: The laser anode and laser cathode are at different pins from standard type-2. TEC, thermistor, and power monitor pinout are same as standard type-2. 

Lot no: 0038Q, 0032Q, or 0040Q, which means products were made in July-Septemper 2000. 

DESCRIPTION
The NX8570SA is a 1 550 nm Multiple Quantum Well (MQW) structured Distributed Feed-Back (DFB) laser diode module with wavelength monitor function. This device is designed as CW light source and ideal for transmission systems in which external modulators are used. 

FEATURES
• Wavelength monitor function (Etalon Filter, Wavelength monitor PD)
• Output power Pf = 20 mW MIN.
• Available for DWDM wavelengths based on ITU-T recommendations (100 GHz grid, refer to ORDERING INFORMATION)
• Internal thermo-electric cooler and isolator
• Hermetically sealed 14-pin butterfly package
• Polarization maintain fiber pigtail

    With Newport laser controller, we have tested 13 samples at our lab, our tested output power (see last 2 photo2 ) all meet specification 20mW (at <167mA) specification well. Wavelength of near 25% samples may be a little bit away from specification, so we will test and verify each laser wavelength is reasonable (deviation from set wavelength is <0.4nm at 25 C degree temperature, i.e., actual wavelength can be adjusted to set wavelength within 20 C and 35 C temperature) before shipping.
