Optical Pre-Amplifier-C band . Optical amplifier is made by Corning pumped by one 980nm laser. One sample is open only to take photo. See sample test data in htm link below (from the 3.5 inch disk). There look no IC chips, so you may try to debug pinout. But there are three electric connector interfaces, see photos in online store for details.
